Let's Abolish Child Trafficking

from the inside out.

Our Goal, Vision & Commitment

Help Make Change

Volunteer, Participate, or Donate

ACTNow believes in abolishing child slavery and advocating for children and communities. We take an “Inside-Out” approach to reach this goal.

Often organizations and individuals with the greatest of intentions and generous hearts try and help those in need. They take what works in their own outside culture and insert it into the community that they are helping. In the end, that model can disempower the people and leaving a bigger mess than they started with.  There are many examples of communities that become dependent on outside help. Without a deep understanding of the culture and the multitude of minute intricacies, it is difficult to come up with a lasting, and empowering solution. It often ends up that many dollars are wasted and donors are disappointed but most importantly, the communities are not helped and the problems are perpetuated.

Initiative #2

Initiative #3

Literacy

Illiteracy limits capacity and options for survival are few. In this community the literacy rate is so low that the youth are trafficking themselves into slave like conditions because of lack of better options. This initiative is to empower the youth with tools necessary to be successful in humane forms of business.

Initiative #4

Pay it Forward

When faced with extreme poverty, families are more likely to traffic their children. This program not only builds a stronger community, but also gives parents a way to earn a living wage therefore empowering them to remain as a family unit.
